Dear Families of Students Enrolled in Regents Level Classes,   In March, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) updated its actions on a series of emergency regulations to allow for exemptions to diploma requirements associated with the June 2021 Regents Exams.  Seventh (Honors) & Eighth grade students enrolled in Regents courses are NOT required to take the Algebra I and Living Environment Regents Exams IF passing the course for the year.  This means that a student must have an overall passing grade of 65 to be exempt.  The score that the student obtains on their Regents Exam can be placed on their transcript or replaced with an ‘E’ for exempt.  If your child is 100% remote, they will have to come into school to take the Regents Exam(s) since the exam(s) cannot be taken at home.  If your child is passing both courses, use the Google link below if you wish to have your child take the Algebra I and/or the Living Environment Regents Exam(s) by Friday, June 11, 2021  so that we can make the appropriate arrangements. Let's work together to learn about the importance of Mental and Physical Health on Academic Success! We will celebrate the many ways we can impact our brain and body in positive ways. Dear Remote Families,  Our district wide Mental Wellness Spirit Week is fast approaching. In order to help support our students, we plan on having different events throughout the week that all focus on being the "BEST YOU" during these stressful times. On Friday, April 30th, our students are being asked to wear our Wellness T-Shirts for Fitness Friday. We are asking that you pick-up your child's T-Shirt from Friday, April 23rd - Thursday, April 29th between the hours of 8:45am-2:30pm. The shirts will be at the security desk where you will need to sign for them. Good afternoon Lawrence families! The current grant Lawrence received to provide Hotspots to families in need will be expiring after this year. We are in the process of applying for a new grant that will allow students and their families who do not have internet access at home to receive internet for free through AT&T through June 2022. The application can be completed tomorrow from 12-4PM at Lawrence Primary (#2) School by the gym doors. Yearbook Announcement! The deadline for 7th & 8th grade yearbook photos is April 5th. The deadline for eighth grade parents to purchase an ad for their children is also April 5.
