Dear Remote Families,  Our district wide Mental Wellness Spirit Week is fast approaching. In order to help support our students, we plan on having different events throughout the week that all focus on being the "BEST YOU" during these stressful times. On Friday, April 30th, our students are being asked to wear our Wellness T-Shirts for Fitness Friday. We are asking that you pick-up your child's T-Shirt from Friday, April 23rd - Thursday, April 29th between the hours of 8:45am-2:30pm. The shirts will be at the security desk where you will need to sign for them. Good afternoon Lawrence families! The current grant Lawrence received to provide Hotspots to families in need will be expiring after this year. We are in the process of applying for a new grant that will allow students and their families who do not have internet access at home to receive internet for free through AT&T through June 2022. The application can be completed tomorrow from 12-4PM at Lawrence Primary (#2) School by the gym doors. Atención Padres de sexto grado: El próximo año, como estudiante de séptimo grado, su hijo comenzará su estudio de un segundo idioma. Las opciones son español o italiano. Los cursos de séptimo grado de idiomas se ofrecen todos los días durante todo el año. En el grado 8, la instrucción diaria continuará y culminará con un examen de Segundo Nivel de Competencia Lingüística. Una unidad de crédito de la escuela secundaria se otorgará sólo cuando se aprueben el idioma 7, el idioma 8 y el examen de competencia. Al ingresar a la escuela secundaria en el grado 9, los estudiantes serán programados para el nivel dos de su respectiva segunda lengua. El segundo idioma que su hijo/a seleccione continuará a través de la Escuela Secundaria. Por lo tanto, por favor, analice las decisiones con su hijo/a y ayúdelo a elegir sabiamente. Los estudiantes actuales de 6º grado deben completar el Formulario de Selección de Idioma que se encuentra en el clase google de la Sra. Kelsch. no más tarde del viernes 12 de marzo de 2021. Attention 6th grade parents: Next year, as a seventh grade student, your child will begin their study of a second language. The choices are Spanish or Italian. Seventh grade language courses are offered everyday for the full year. In grade 8, daily instruction will continue and will culminate with a Second Language Proficiency exam. One unit of high school credit will be granted only when Language 7, Language 8 and the Proficiency exam are passed. Upon entering high school in grade 9, students will be scheduled for level two of his/her respective second language. The second language that your child selects will continue through High School. So, please discuss the choices with your child and help him/her choose wisely. Current 6th grade students must complete the Language Selection Form found in Ms. Kelsch's Google Classroom no later than Friday, March 12, 2021. Your student can re-submit the form to make a change until March 12.
