Dear Families of Students Enrolled in Regents Level Classes,   In March, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) updated its actions on a series of emergency regulations to allow for exemptions to diploma requirements associated with the June 2021 Regents Exams.  Seventh (Honors) & Eighth grade students enrolled in Regents courses are NOT required to take the Algebra I and Living Environment Regents Exams IF passing the course for the year.  This means that a student must have an overall passing grade of 65 to be exempt.  The score that the student obtains on their Regents Exam can be placed on their transcript or replaced with an ‘E’ for exempt.  If your child is 100% remote, they will have to come into school to take the Regents Exam(s) since the exam(s) cannot be taken at home.  If your child is passing both courses, use the Google link below if you wish to have your child take the Algebra I and/or the Living Environment Regents Exam(s) by Friday, June 11, 2021  so that we can make the appropriate arrangements. All other students will need to take one or both Regents if course(s) grade falls below a passing mark.   https://forms.gle/SnQTfWgjSSSm4dCv5  Sincerely,   Willis Perry  Principal
