Lawrence continues to await State Education guidance to finalize reopening plans for the new school year. We thank you for your patience and will get information out as quickly as it becomes available. State sports association has just delayed the start of any fall sports.
Lawrence continues to prepare our school buildings as we await the NYS Education Department guidance for school reopening in September. Our hand sanitizer delivery has arrived and cleaning crews are working hard to prepare the buildings. Their work and the patience of our families and staff are appreciated.

This beautiful event, Neighbors helping Neighbors is today at the community center sponsored by the local temples. Chicken and cheese will be distributed.

On June 16th, we will be celebrating the accomplishments of our 8th graders by having a promotional parade. Our staff will be driving through our school community cheering and giving the acknowledgment to our students that they so deserve! Below, please find the Grading Rubric that LMS teachers will use to determine 4th Marking Period grades. Please take note as to how the rubric pays special attention to online participation.
It is important for students to attend and participate in all scheduled live classes to continue receiving instruction through the end of the School Year.

In these challenging times we would like to make families aware of an increase to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). If families already get SNAP benefits, additional funding will be sent to the benefit card.
Any family NOT already receiving SNAP, but qualifying for the school Free and Reduced lunch program will be mailed a card that will be able to be used in the same way. There will be payments for March and April, and another for May and June.
The funding stream is not from DSS, rather from the Office of Temporary Disability Services. Families will not have to apply separately for this benefit.

If you are a Lawrence/Inwood resident in need of food please come to Lawrence Early Childhood Center #4 School 87 Wanser Ave. in Inwood.
Please ensure to wear a mask, practice social distancing and bring a shopping bag and/or shopping cart.
This is an additional food distribution. Any food distribution currently be done by your school district is still occurring.
