Word of the Day

Evolve: To develop gradually over time; to undergo change and growth.

  • Teaching strategies often evolve as educators learn what works best for their students.

Stable: Firmly fixed, not likely to change or fail; steady and secure.

  • After the schedule adjustment, the classroom routine became more stable and predictable.

MW Word: Era: A long and distinct period of history with a particular feature or characteristic.

  • Paleontologists study fossils from the Paleozoic Era to understand the first complex life forms that emerged before the dinosaurs.

Senior Class

Good morning, Seniors! Your Senior Skate Night will be Friday, January 23 from 7:30-9 PM at the Freeport Ice Rink. You are responsible for your own transportation to the rink. It is $10 and the money is due to Ms. Lohwasser in Room 308 by Wednesday January 21. Please see her or your senior reps for payment options and more info. We hope to see you there!

SGA

Attention Lawrence High School, are you ready for the best event of the school year? That’s right! It’s time for Battle of the Classes. Battle of the Classes is a school-wide after-school event where each grade competes against each other in a variety of fun activities. Please fill out the google form to pre-order your shirt. If you do not fill out the form, you will not receive a shirt, therefore you will not be able to participate. Please see your English teachers with the link to the google form. May the battle begin!

Freshman Class

The freshman trip is finally here! We will be going to the Empire State Building on Tuesday, March 10th. The cost of the trip is $15. Money and permission trips should be brought to your social studies teacher or Ms. Eisner in room 325. Permission slips and money are due by February 10th. We hope to see you there!!

TRI-M Music Honor Society

Morning everyone,
We will be having our first meeting of 2026 tomorrow after school! Please make sure your New Year's resolution of making Tri-M meetings doesn't fall by the wayside!

Sophomore Class

Get ready to jump into an unforgettable experience! The 10th grade class is heading to Sky Zone on Thursday, March 19th, and it's going to be an action-packed day full of fun, energy, and memories with your friends. From trampolines to games and nonstop excitement, this is trip you don't want to miss!! The cost of the trip is $65. Please get a permission slip from Ms. Eisner in room 325. Permission slips and money is due by February 13th!

SADD

We will be having a SADD meeting today in room 340 at 2:45. We will be discussing upcoming activities. Please make every effort to attend. Thank you

FHA

Hello all FHA members! We will be meeting Friday after school in room 317 to discuss our upcoming plans to visit the nursing home. Please make every effort to be there if you plan on attending this event.

Quiz

Quiz Bowl will be tomorrow after school in room 322. There are only 2 regular season competitions left. Come out and join our undefeated team!
