This Week In History
In 1968 President Johnson started Hispanic Heritage Week to celebrate Hispanic Culture.  President Reagan extended this to a month in 1988, and it now takes place September 15-October 15th.

What is the difference between the terms Latinx and Hispanic?
The term Latinx refers to geography, people from Latin America who speak Spanish, Portuguese or another language.
The term Hispanic is based in language.  Hispanics are people native to Spanish speaking countries.
